 The audience is always with you. Learn to harness your power to take command of the audience and keep them on your side through the show. Breath control, eye contact, and body language, all of these are just as important as any tricks in your book. With total control you will be able to speak without words and let your actions do the talking.

Movement and Character Games to get you loosened up and ready to go

Flux Torch is a new multi-prop tool that uses magnets to let spin with clubs, staff, poi, nunchaku and more with the same prop. In this class, we will be covering terminology, identifying the different forms of the tool, and simple transitions between those forms. We will also go over basic theories and tricks specifically for Flux spinning, as well as proper safety and Flux Torch maintenance. Practice sets will be available so come play and get your Flux on!

Nothing feels quite like a full contact roll with the hoop. Whether you are rolling the hoop on your arm, chest, back, shoulders, hands or really anywhere on your body, feeling the hoop and its momentum roll over you and through you is amazing. Mastering the the art of rolling circles on your body is a lifetime journey. In this workshop we will work on several drills and techniques that I have found really helpful when playing with rolls. We will also practice a variety of catches and releases that will help when bring rolls into your hoop flow. The rockin part of this workshop is all about using momentum to guide the hoop as it rolls. Once we have created a surface for the hoop to roll on the next step is about using momentum to direct the hoops energy where you want it.

Ritual Magick is the philosophy of rational self-interest, also known as the Pursuit of Happiness. Magick comprises a set of first principles, which derive from the pre-requisites of magick itself. These are individuality, power, and freedom. The ambition and pursuit of mastering these principles constitutes the central ethic of Ritual Magick, called Ascent. Ascent is the journey to Godhood, which is merely a grandiose term for the condition of maximum individuality, freedom, and power. Ascent is being all that you have the potential to be. A God possesses what we call the three Godlike powers: omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence. Ritual magicians seek to obtain these godlike powers through the praxeology of ritual magick: Divination (which leads to omniscience), Evocation (which leads to omnipotence), and Soul Travel, which leads to omnipresence. As such, the supreme aspiration of the Magician is not world domination, but to become a living god; to realize each individual's full potential; to maximize individuality, freedom, and power for all of human kind. In this workshop I will illuminate the secular philosophy of the Path, grounded in the French existentialism of Jean-Paul Sartre, the German adversarialism of Friederich Niestche, the German egoism and anarchism of Max Stirner, the Greek heresy of the Pre-socratics, and many others such as Ludwig Feuerbach and Aristotle. I will educate students in the first principles, ethics, praxeology and practical application of Magick.

Long String Flow Wand – all levels This class is suitable for all levels of flow wanderers out there. We will very briefly go over basics of wanding and move into different grips (including the neck grip) using a long string and how to incorporate dance & style into your movements. Bring a Flow Wand if you have one but I’ll have a few extras available for the class. If you would like me to restring your wand with a long string, please come at least 10 minutes early to class.

Intro to Buugeng: Illusion Break out your squiggle sticks! In this introductory class, we will cover buugeng origins, technique, foundation spins, isolations, and transitions. A limited number of sets will be available for practice.

Aerial Flow Fundamentals - LYRA & DOUBLES CHOREOGRAPHY
After a light, vinyasa based, yoga warm-up, we will transition into learning basic skills on lyra with a focus on sequencing and transitions; integrating elements of doubles choreography if you bring a partner or are open to collaborating with new, aerialist friends; and finishing off with a little bit of flow and a light, dreamy cool-down session. Movement complexity is widely recognized as the reason why humans evolved and became the organisms we are today. Complex movement sky-rocketed our brain development and allowed us to become the top of the food chain. Warrior Mentality- Power Through Movement, is a workshop designed to increase range of motion, flow, mobility, speed, balance, timing, utilizing a set of movement principles that directly translate to all artistic expression of the human body. Students will learn to move and think in ways they previously were unable to, while simultaneously learning tried and tested martial arts/combatives techniques. The movement principles and patterns learned in this workshop are a master key that unlocks any door.

This twin hooping workshop will be extremely focused on the isoflower and its many variations. We will explore transitions in and out of two hoop one hand sequences and work towards gaining control over complex hand movements.

In this workshop you will learn to customize your exercise to maximize performance and to self treat and prevent performance injuries. This same workshop has been taught to the Joffrey Ballet, Cirque du Soleil acts and high wire circus performers. Every person will leave this workshop actually feeling better, less pain, stronger, with greater range of motion and the skills to keep moving.
